1. Information We Collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and optional profile information including your name, age, country, and preferred currency.

When using the Wealth Diagnostic feature, you may optionally provide additional information such as your profession, industry, income bracket, education level, and household details. This information is used solely to generate your peer comparison analysis.

We store your financial account names, categories, and values (in cents). We do not collect bank account numbers, routing numbers, Social Security numbers, or payment card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Wealthly service
• To calculate and display your net worth, growth metrics, and allocation breakdowns
• To generate AI-powered wealth diagnostic comparisons (Premium)
• To process subscription payments via Polar
• To communicate with you about your account or service updates

3. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Clerk — Authentication and user management. Clerk stores your login credentials securely.
• Convex — Database and backend infrastructure. Your financial data is stored in Convex's encrypted servers.
• Polar — Payment processing for Premium subscriptions. Polar handles all payment card data directly.
• Anthropic — AI analysis for the Wealth Diagnostic feature. Anonymized profile data (no email or name) is sent for peer group estimation.
• Vercel — Hosting and deployment of the application.

4. Data Security

All data transmitted between your browser and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3. Data stored in our database is encrypted at rest. Authentication tokens are short-lived (60 seconds) and validated on every request.

We do not store passwords directly — authentication is handled by Clerk using industry-standard bcrypt hashing. Payment information is processed by Polar and never touches our servers.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Settings page. When you delete your account, all associated data is permanently removed, including:

• Account entries and value history
• Financial accounts
• Net worth snapshots
• Diagnostic profiles
• Subscription records

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and view all data we store about you
• Export your data
• Request correction of inaccurate data
• Delete your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional data collection (diagnostic profile)

7. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication (provided by Clerk). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No data is shared with advertisers.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
